# Installing a resource

The five steps that are identical for every RS Store resource.

Each resource has its own installation page with its specific steps. This page covers what is true for all of them — read it once, then jump to your resource.

## 1. Do not rename the folder

Every RS Store resource checks its own folder name when it starts and **stops itself** if it was renamed. This is not a bug — it is what keeps `@Resource/file.lua` references and NUI paths working.

| Rs SolarPanel         | `Rs_SolarPanel`         |

**Rs Banking does not stop itself** — but renaming it still breaks things silently. Its items are wired to your inventory through `client = { export = 'Rs_Banking.useTerminal' }` and friends, which name the resource. Rename the folder and "use item" stops working on the terminal, the chequebook and the cheque until you update every one of those lines.

Unzipping sometimes produces a wrapper folder (`Advanced_Store-1.3.1/Advanced_Store/`). Move the **inner** folder into `resources/`, not the wrapper.

## 2. Drop it in your resources folder

Anywhere under `resources/` works, including inside a `[rs]` bracket folder:

## 3. Start it in the right order

Order matters. A resource must start **after** everything it depends on:

`Advanced_Player_Store` is a DLC. Starting it before `Advanced_Store` fails, because it loads the base resource's config, bridge and locales through `@Advanced_Store/...`.

## 4. Import the database (when required)

| Resource              | Database                                                                              |
| --------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Advanced Store        | none — unless you want shop company accounts, see its installation page               |
| Advanced Player Store | tables are **created automatically** on first start; `sql/` is provided for reference |
| Rs Banking            | **self-installing** — it reads `sql/banking.sql` on first start, nothing to import    |
| Rs CryptoMining       | import `install/sql.sql` **once**, by hand                                            |
| Rs SolarPanel         | import `install/sql.sql` **once**, by hand                                            |

## 5. Configure, then restart

Open the config file, set the two or three settings at the top (framework, language, payment), then restart the server — not just the resource, so dependencies reload cleanly.

## Checking it worked

Run `/scriptinfo` in the **server console**. Each resource prints its version and the result of its version check. If the command does not exist, the resource is not running — scroll the console back to the start for the reason.
